I'd ask Him

If i could only call my Father above,
i'd ask to move home to live there in His love
i'd explain how i feel being so far away
i'd ask Him how long He wants me to stay
i'd ask Him the things that i need to do here
i'd tell Him of all the things that i seem to fear
i'd ask Him to tell me of what lay in store
if i came knocking unexpectedly at His door
i'd admitt all of the things that i've done wrong
then i'd tell Him that i feel i've been here so long
there's so many questions i'd ask Him
but most of all i'd ask He forgive me of m sin

If only i could call my Father in Heaven
i'd tell Him how much i want to be there with Him
i'd ask Him of the plans that He had for me
concerning my future i'd ask to see
i'd ask how much longer i have to stay
before he calls me to my home so far away
i'd ask Him if I left before my time
would it be considered my biggest crime?
if only i could call my father above
