Default Prayers Please

Ok so I know I havent been a member long but I sure could use y'alls prayers. Well not me specificaly but for my grandma. You see my mom was a very young teen mom and I lived most of my life with my grandma and pappa. Well about 9 years ago my pappa passed away. Now my grandma has taken a pretty bad turn. She lives with my great aunt who is in her 80's Grandma is I think 74. Anyways she has osteoparosis(sp) and she coughed a few weeks ago and broke her back in 2 places, they went in and fixed it but she still isnt doing too well. My mom who weighs all of 100 pounds is there taking care of her, she needs help because Grandma wont get out of bed and when she does my Mom is the one who has to "lift" her. She said that grandma refuses to eat and hasnt had a bowel movement in a week. I am worried for both my Grandma and my Mom. so any and all prayers are welcome. I am thinking of flying home (Texas) to help my Mom take care of Grandma but I am still trying to figure that one out. Thanks in advance for the prayers and also for ready this long post

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

I will pray for you! I just lost my grandma Jan 2-- she was 81. She was very sick and we all expected but you are never truely prepared. She sure was a stong woman and a great fighter . I live a distance away from her and I kicked the idea around about going to see her and I never did and now I regret it. I just wish I could have given her one more hug.

I suggest you go see her and maybe seeing you will make her stronger, she will be able to fight harder. Plus your mom would probably like the help even if it is just for a short visit. My prayers are with you.

Awww, ((((((HUGS))))))) Becka.
Is it just osteoporosis that she is suffering from? Compression fracture (I take it that is what she has) can be very painful, but is there any underlying illness that makes osteoporosis worse, other than from age? Also, if she refuses to move on her own even if the drs say she should be able to, you may need to rule out depression.
Now, I am saying this only from what you have written, so I may be way off, but these are a couple of the things that come up into my mind.

(((((((HUGS)))))))) I shall be keeping you and your family in my prayers and thoughts.

You, and your grandma are certainly in my prayers. It is good to see such devoted family members willing to care for loved ones. I rememer how it was with my grandparents, one had cancer, and the other had Ahlzeihmers disease at the same time. My mom practically moved in to care for them. Granny would call me sometimes to come and clean up after my Grandpa, if you know what I mean. It isn't easy to watch someone you love deteriorate like that. I have no regrets doing it though. They were special people in my life, who have been gone now for a little over a year. Thanks for posting this Beckemarie. HANGE IN THERE.
mike
p.s. In my opinion, I would go back to Texas for a while to help out, just as you are thinking of doing.

Thanks you guys. I am so happy I found y'all. We get paid on the 1st and I think I will leave shortly after that. I have an appointment that I HAVE to be at on the 5th so I may just leave that night. I know my Grandma was always there for me, even if she did say things that hurt my feelings. I just have to help take care of her. Doc I think you may be right she may be depressed. Honestly I think she has just given up on life. My Mom thinks that if I come she will perk up. I sure hope so. Anyways thanks again you all have been awesome. I just love this place

Becka, 74 is too young to give up on life!! She still has so much to live for!!
I hope she'll receive whatever attention she needs and gets better.
