Default Easter - his death our gain

a snippet from the newsletter I am sending today:

HAPPY EASTER

With my wife away and one of our daughters at a 4000+ young people Easter camp, I am alone with my other 4 children. Fun!!! Just attended our churches Easter Friday Celebrations. A lunch of Hot Cross Buns and the kids looking forward to Sundays Easter Eggs hunt. What have you been doing this Easter?

Freebird made a great post A moment for God that has been viewed by over 667 people.

Quote:
"Finally managed to watch the full surgery web cast and all I can say is WOW! It got me thinking about how awesome our creator is. Our bodies are so complicated and do so many things for us automatically without us having to think about it, breathing, blood flowing through veins, it's just so mind blowing to think that God created such complicated but beautiful vessels for us. Make me want to take a moment to contemplate about Him and His creations."
Being Easter we remember another part of what God has done for us. Sending his son Jesus to clean up the emotional and spiritual mess that wrong does in our lives. Because not only has he made the physical parts of us that Freebird talked about, but he wants all of us to be right. He wants to be our friend. Thats what Jesus death and resurrection did. He took away the barrier of wrongness between us and God. He allowed us to be his friends.

I love being a friend of God:

Knowing who I am, where I am going, and what I am becoming.

What does Easter mean to you???

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

Easter to me is a time of new begining. A time to look back at all my mistakes over the past year and ask Gods forgiveness. It is a time to thank God for everything in my life both good and bad. It is a time of reflection, a time of thanks and a time to start over . It is a time to also let go of anger, resentment and forgive others for things that they may have done to me. If Jesus can make the ultimate sacrafice for me then I can make some effort to forgive others and to gain forgiveness.

It is a time to spend with my family, to be close and to plan ahead for the new year.

And dont forget it is also time for the Easter Bunny to visit the house! To see the joy on the little guys faces as they enjoy the treats and try to figure out the mystery of how the Easter Bunny makes his way to the house....Its an opportunity to teach faith and believing in things that seem impossible. This will help them later on in life as they learn about the true meaning of Easter.

HAPPY EASTER EVERYONE.

We are all here to help each other. Jesus died so that we could live.
Easter for me is a time to renew my faith and restablish a connection to letting go and letting God. It sure is a great relief to turn all my problems, worries and concerns over the Lord. Sometimes I forget that I can do that. Peace is always there. I only have to turn all that I have over to God to receive His peace in return.
A blessed Easter to one and all.
PS...I'm not letting the Easter Bunny in this year lol

The first day of my medical board was on Easter Sunday 33 years ago. To many, it may be just coincidence, but on the train home from the exam, I felt that it was destiny. I never doubted that I would pass. The Love He showed us is what guides me through this career He has led me to.

CHRIST HAS RISEN, HE HAS RISEN INDEED !!!!!! Happy Easter to all of you and your family. Easter to me is truly a time to thank my Saviour for loving me as sinful as I am--to know I am saved through His shedding blood. To know that no matter how good a person I think I may be--without His death, I would never be good enough. To know I will be with Him someday regardless of my sinful ways, is such a blessing!! He has made the ultimate sacrifice for each and every one of us---why-----because He first loved us!! Praise God! Wishing you and yours a GLORIOUS RESURECTION DAY !!! DianeB
