Open my Eyes
Jesus is the Word that was made flesh. He came and lived here on earth among the people, but their eyes were blinded; they didn’t recognize Him. The light of the Gospel opens our spiritually blinded eyes so we can see Jesus – to see Him is to receive Him as Lord and Master. There is a prayer that I pray for my staff, all my partners, family, friends and myself from the first chapter of Ephesians. Sometimes I pray from The Message: I can’t stop thanking God for you—every time I pray, I think of you and give thanks. But I do more than thank. I ask—ask the God of our Master, Jesus Christ, the God of glory—to make you intelligent and discerning in knowing him personally, your eyes focused and clear, so that you can see exactly what it is he is calling you to do, grasp the immensity of this glorious way of life he has for Christians, oh, the utter extravagance of his work in us who trust him—endless energy, boundless strength! The more you focus on Jesus, the more like him you will become. Your true identity is in Him!

PRAYER:
Lord, I ask you to open my eyes that I may see the wonderful things in your law. Thank you for the Counselor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father has sent in your name. He will teach me all things and will remind me of everything you have said. Lord Jesus, thank you for opening my understanding and for showing me how to read my Bible. Amen

Blkriko, I think that your post was very rude, if you chose not to have faith in Jesus Christ then that is totally up to you, there are many posts on here that do concerntrate on WLS but this site is about the whole of us Life!!, and so this post just happens to be headed up Daily Prayer, so you can CHOOSE not to read it but don't disrespect the writer or the lots of other folk on here that DO believe in their Lord and Saviour and actually get alot of encouragement from him and from hearing posts just like this!!!!

I was going to post to say Thank You to clf carrie for this inspirational word from God this morning as I was just getting ready to go to church I found it encouraging to my spirit, DO NOT GET DISHEARTENED, and DO NOT stop praying aloud, there are plenty of folk on here that DO appreciate you..

Thank you Doc and Angie, I was going to say exactly the same thing. And there was mentioned that other weightloss groups wouldn't have this and it has been my experience that every self service support group no matter what it supports and a thread of a place for people to talk about spiritual matters as humans we all have three parts body/mind/spirit and everything we do affects every other part.
I'm so glad that that reader doesn't need this thread but I am also determined to share this as I find it completely helpful everyday and I hope that those who choose to read it do as well. Bless you all
