 |  Prayers Needed for Ruby!
Ruby is my 4 lb. chihuahua. She has to have surgery in the morning. She broke her leg, trying to jump in my truck so she could be with me.  I know some people may think that she's "just a dog", but to me she is my baby and best fur-buddy. When I came home a month ago after wls, she never left my side. She seemed to know when I wasn't feeling good, and she was my constant companion. The vet is concerned because of the fact that she is so small and they have to anesthetize her. She is one of God's creatures and I'm sure He doesn't mind prayers for dogs at all!!

Aww CS I'm so sorry about Ruby, I hope she does well during the surgery. Poor little thing!! Shoot our animals are not "just dog/cats" here at our house, they are a part of our family!! Let us know how it turns out. (((hugs))) |

Country Strong. I know she is a dog of course. But they are on earth for a reason. And they aren't called man's best friend for nothing! My Coki had her spay surgery about a month and a half ago. I was beside myself. She is 5 lbs and they best 5 lbs I ever gained, haha. Those Chihuahuas have a way of working into our hearts don't they?
I am sure she will be fine. They will watch over her and monitor her closely and she will come home to you to watch over. And you can take care of each other.
Post a pic of the little sweet heart so we all can see how cute she is! You are in our hearts and prayers. Make sure to tell the surgeon to call when it is done. Just think if they can move your guts around they can fix a broken leg!

No problem, unfortunately things do happen but luckily very rarely. We lost our 4 month old Gracie (Cavachon) in July during a routine spay operation. From what they could find out with the necropsy it looks like she had a very hard to detect heart defect. But it was devastating. I still miss her even though I have 3 others. We get a new dog from the breeder in 2 weeks, but my heart just isn't there yet. I chose to get different type of dog (the breeder breeds Cavachons and Teddy Bears) because I didn't want the constant reminder with a dog that looked just like her which I could have gotten right away.
Please let us know when she is out of surgery and I will keep her in my prayers that she has a safe surgery and a comfortable recovery. Even with just the short time we had Lady, she became an integral part of our family. We have her older 1/2 sister and she is still a bit out of sorts even though it has been 2 months.

Vet just called and said she is doing great! I can bring her home in the morning, but no running and jumping for 6 weeks! I can't wait until tomorrow!
