This summer we're taking off for a month or two and touring the country in the bus, seeing things we've never seen before, staying at Camp Wal-Mart (locations nationwide!! ), parking for a few days and exploring the local areas on our sidecar rig. The last few years, our travel has been confined to one well-worn highway heading back to Salt Lake to see family. This time some of our planned stops are Niagara Falls, Gettysburg, Mammoth Cave, the Alamo, Las Vegas, Salt Lake, the Badlands of South Dakota, and a host of others. En route, we're going to meet some of the RR family at various stops.

I want to create lots of good memories while she can still enjoy them. I don't know exactly what the next few years will bring or when things will happen, but we'll make it through this just like we always have.

That's more what I was getting at brother. I find it pretty obvious that you love her and the best help you can give her is by continuing to do so. You may not be able to physically change what is happening, but there are a lot of other things you can do . Travel to familiar places is great, surrounding her with familiar things, just being there.
My biggest concern is for you brother. This will probably be the hardest thing you ever endure. I hope that we can be here for you.

I am so sorry to hear this, know that Peanut and you are in my thoughts and prayers. Dealing with demintia is a hard thing to do. You and Peanut share a special bond and that will help a lot. My Father-in-law had severe demitia and once you get in a routine it helps a lot. I am thinking and praying for you.

We're working on that first one, brother! It's something you can never say you're perfect at, but you practice it anyway.

We've gone through a lot of hard things together. It seems that after every "hardest thing", there's another one lurking in the wings waiting to pounce on you. This coming situation may be the "hardest thing", but the Lord said He'd never test you beyond what you can handle, so we just have to take Him at His word. He's never let us down yet!
