Unhappy I'm numb ...
Peanut has been having some problems for the last few weeks getting some of her meds properly calibrated. Tuesday she had some testing done to see if perhaps she was developing ADHD. Got the results this morning.

I was at the hospital taking her some of our homemade protein bars (she hates hospital food!) and as I was leaving I saw our doctor. He asked me to wait for a few minutes because he needed to speak to me. He had checked her file and wanted to discuss the test results with me.

Long story short - Peanut has developed dementia. More testing is needed to determine what kind and how far along it is, as well as what the outlook is. So many unknowns! Our future will change, but how drastically and how soon ...

This hasn't been a really good day. Good thing I have a little dog here to cheer me up! (She was supposed to be a therapy dog for Peanut, but I think she'll be pulling double duty!)

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

I am sorry to hear about this.
Medical therapy for dementia is advancing steadily, so I hope her dr will be able to provide something that will at least slow the progression, if not stop it altogether. Unfortunately, medication to reverse it is yet to be.
