Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass    |  Luck or something else...? I was talking to an old friend the this morning. I hadn't spoken to her in months. And while explaining this journey and details of the surgery, how it's changed my life etc, I realized how "lucky" I am to have found this forum and all of you. You don't realize until you try explaining all of this to someone who was never in your shoes, how fortunate you are to come to a place like this and vent, or ask questions, or share pictures  with people who know what you are going thru.So, I thought even further. I've never really been a religious person. I am a little ashamed about that, BUT I will say that I believe that by the will of some "force" you were all brought into my life for a specific purpose; to help me down this road, open my mind to other things, facilitate some type of change in my life (which may not even be directly related to surgery) I found this site by accident a maybe about a week or so before my surgery. I had already been thru all of my prescreening and testing, and had already received my insurance approval when one day i decided to do a google search. I think I typed in something like bariatric surgery support groups: and this was at the top of the list. So i clicked, and I've been here everyday ever since. I think one day I got frustrated and asked Michael to delete my account because I was having trouble with my password. He took the time to work with me on resetting it. Boy am I glad he reached out to me like that! .....I am truly grateful to have crossed paths with you all.

You can come here and get help, questions answered, support and friends. ITs been a wonderful support system for me as well. Im actually leaving to go on vacation in about a 1/2 hour and we are renting a cabin in the Adirondacks on a lake for a week. Bad news is that I feel that Im gonna have some serious withdrawls away from all my freinds and support system here. There is not any internet connections up there. So I have to go a whole week without!!! Oh well I guess there are worse things in life right. But I do agree with everthing Kenya says. This is a super place to come and its given me so much support!!!!!!!!
