Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass  |  Prayers Requested I have a cousin, who is 16, that has been fighting mono since January. On and off she has complained of hip pain, bowel trouble and then she could not make water. Her parents rushed her to the local hospital and after sitting for 3 hours, they took her to a different hospital. They ran a lot of tests and told them at 4 in the morning that they needed to go to Bowman Gray in Winston Salem, NC. At that time, they thought her hips, bladder, lungs, and ovaries had cancer. The last word I heard is that Bowman Gray wanted to do their own tests and have discovered a mass on her lungs and hips. She is a beautiful girl. They have said that this will be a long battle, but they are going to aggressively treat her. I am writing to ask you to pray for her and her family. She remarked yesterday as her mother was very upset that, "It was okay, she was in God's hands." I cannot believe her courage and I know prayers helped yesterday, because why did the one hospital see something more and then the other did not? So, believe in the power of prayer, I do. See below for further proof. On another note, I have had a tough week. My daughter had to testify in a jury trial about the abuse she suffered at her birth mother's boyfriends hands. They kept my 8 year old on the stand for over 2 hours and she was wonderful. After requesting/writing an order suggesting that her birth mother leave the courtroom while she was testifying, the judge denied it. So now, this woman knows my name, my child's new name and where we live. I keep telling myself that she didn't want anything to do with her the 5 years she had her and I don't think she will come looking, but I liked it a lot better when she had no idea where my daughter was! Her birth mom testified for her boyfriend and against my daughter. Can you imagine? Anyway, the jury came back yesterday with the verdict - guilty of felony child abuse. He will serve 29-44 months in prison and will not be allowed to be in the US legally after his sentence is over. I want to praise God for this! I know only He could see the truth and I know He made this conviction possible. Thank you for reading and for your prayers.

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | My daughter is the bravest person I know. I was afraid we would have outbursts, but I think she realizes that she is much better with us. She saw with her own eyes her birth mom get in the car with the man who hurt her. I am glad I have this forum and you all. I am also glad I am a Christian and that my daughter has found God as well while living with us. Update on my cousin - they started chemo asap and are thinking about operating asap on her hip because the cancer there is hurting her kidneys. She will need 10-12 months of chemo, but she is being a fighter. THank you all for your prayers.
