A Christmas Story
I ran across this story elsewhere, and I would have just put the link here, but apparently, the particular post was deleted almost at soon as it was up. It was such a lovely story that I wanted to share here so I'm writing down what I remember of it.
The story was written by a mother who attended this event.
This mother has a small boy, who's in his first year of school. There was a holiday pagent planned, where every class sang a song. The mother who had to work when the pagent was actually to be, atteneded the dress rehearsal instead, since the school so arranged that parents who couldn't attend the event were allowed to come to the dress rehearsal instead.
Since all the other classes sang holiday season songs that were non-religious, it was much to the mother's surprise that her son's class sang "Christmas Love."
Along with the lyrics, C for...., H for...R for....children in the front row raised large boards with the respective letters, C, H, R....and so on. When the song came to "M", the little girl holding the board had it upside down, but she didn't notice her mistake. Soon, the older children started snickering, and even though the teachers tried to quiet them down, the snickering continued. The little girl continued to proudly keep the board above her head, quite unaware of what was going on. The song came to the end, and all the boards were up. A sudden hush came over the audience, as all the letters could be read with the M still upside down.

Yes, CHRIST WAS LOVE.
And, as the mother wrote on, Christ is love, to this day.
May we all remember always, may we all be embraced, and may we all remember to embrace others of all religious beliefs, all creeds, from all parts of the world, in the ever and all-encompassing, all-embracing, all-reaching love that Christ was, and still is.
