Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass  |  Asking for prayer Today, I had to leave work early to go to the hospital to be with my 67 year old mother who was having heart palpitations. This is the third time she has had this happen since daddy died 5 years ago. This was the first time she had shortness of breath with it. I stayed down there over 10 hours and she never did see the cardiologist, but they assured us that she had not had a heart attack and that she would see him by at least midnight. We wanted to take her to a heart center, but she refused. She was in stable condition when I left her, but I still worry. She does not want me to miss work tomorrow, but I know I will be distracted. Our preacher came to see her and prayed over her so beautifully. Please send a prayer her way and accept my apologies for not responding more to the board tonight. I am wiped out. Dear God, Please watch over my mom and your faithful servant. She is a powerful woman of God who raised her children to love and respect you. I ask that you keep her in your loving arms and help restore the heart to a normal rhythm. Please watch over my dear friends on this board tonight and keep everyone in the hospital with my mom close. In your loving name I pray, Jesus Christ Amen

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | Oh, I have you in my thoughts and prayers...my mom at age 51 had open heart surgery in Feb, I stayed at the hospital with her in the day and my sister in law stayed at night. She was in there for about 30 days due to complications and it was brutal on everyone! My heart goes out to you and your family and I pray for nothing but the best. File FMLA paperwork IMMEDIATELY...it is normally good for 6 months. That way if you ever it, it is there for you. |

Palpitations can be bad, but often, it is not because one is having a heart attack, but due to a cranky route that the nerve signals take, and is brought on by psychological stress that will go away with good rest. If the ECG didn't indicate ischemia (lack of blood flow to the heart muscles) nor the type of irregular heart beat that is of serious concern, then your mother should be fine in the end, even if she may need some medication.
