(this is friends fault, she woke the poem bandit up)
God has filled this world with beauty and love
Peaceful, gentle signs that he loves us
The touch of a gentle breeze on a hot summers day
A soft rain to help our crops grow
The beautiful light falling snow
shimmering in the moonlight
on a silent winters night'
His signs are all about us
The miracle of birth
a soft, cuddling, purring kitten
A playful waggly tailed puppy
And all of the creatures of the wild
But do we notice?
On the other side of God's love
the horror of the devils rage
he has filled the world with hate and anger
War and bloodshed
He turns neighbour against neighbour
Father against son
And daughter against mother
He's ravaged the land with disease
Hunger and pain
These are the things we notice
But God is still there
He lets all of these things be
This way He can watch his children choose
They choose right or wrong
Good or bad
And God does put inspiration in the hearts of His children
And those who listen, act at His voice
And everyday and every night
He performs His miracles
Look at the rising sun
See the new full moon
These things are miracles in themselves
And God does have plans
He will engage in His time
Not ours
So pay heed and notice
So that in the end
You might see the lion sleep with the lamb
