Default RN - Why?

I've been hearing a lot about the Lap Band being as good as the RNY, but I hear Lap Band maintenance can be a pain. Don't you have to return to the doctor pretty often to have it adjusted? I've also heard that although the band is removeable/ reverseable, adhesions around the band often make it difficult to remove. Also, the saline can leak.

Am I biased or what?

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

Hey Dave there is currently a study going on to see if there is some type of consensus around the globe that the doctors can agree on about which surgery is best for which scenario.

I have heard a bunch of opinions. FOR ME, the most important thing to remember is that all of them are nothing but tools to help you drop weight and buy some time until you can start dealing with the real problem. The big grey lump between your ears... hehe.

Blessings from Dallas.

I may not have a choice. Here in my province in Canada the wls is free but my surgeon will not do rny on patients whose bmi is less than 60. He does lapband instead.

WHAT!!! Ask him if hes on glue. Lepages or Testors? Come to Ontario girl..they do it at BMI of 40. They also take into consideration family history and "time served". Of all the stoopid power trippin..lemme at im. 60 ... good god..the complications must go way up at that point. My surgeons thought is to do it before you have all the complications associated with being at a BMI of 60. APPEAL!!
