Well let me add to this. I had a C-section, Gall bladder removed, Acid reflux surgery(Lap Nissin/techical name). VERY LARGE Tumor removed from my ovary with by the way had been growing into my C-section scar for 12 years. All of this years before my RYN. And the doc still was able to manage to do me lap.

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

I also had 2 C-sections, my gallbladder removed, as well as a couple other surgeries and my Dr. was able to do mine as a lap with no problems. I hope yours is as easy!!

Thank you all. Seeing all the replies have given me hope that doc will be able to do lap, however I wont be disappointed if it has to be open.... just wish my insurance would just call with their approval so I can join all of you on the losers bench!

I've had two lap procedures and one open ~ had less pain with the open. The lap gas is a pain ~ literally. Basically recovery was 3-6 weeks in all three cases. It's funny the things we worry about preop and how much we switch gears post op ~ you'll be on the loser's bench before you know it.

Sounds like your surgeon knows what to do, so I'm sure you'll come out fine.
Hope you hear from the insurance soon.
