Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

Don't let your family push you into this. The hardest part of this journey is realizing that it's a life change. For the rest of your life you will need to be committed to eating good, nutritious, low fat, low carb meals. The bypass helps you stay on the program, but you still have to be determined to do it.

Will you lose too much? Maybe, maybe not. It can be hard to get enough calories in when you're a year out. This is a good question for the surgeon. Good Luck on whatever you decide.

Again i would like to say thank you all for responding to my ?... I also called the DR. office for an appointment to talk over the surgery and ? that i may have. I also mess up on what the DR said to me when i was coming out of surgery. Its not the G-bypass that he said to do, its the sleeve. So with that said to me i set the appointment for 03-10-2009 to learn more about the procedure. So far the only thing that I heard neg about the sleeve is that it causes diarrhea in some cases. My mind is almost set on the surgery. Just need a little more info and a kick in the butt. But I'm about 60% made up for surgery . If I do go for it i know its going to be a hard road in the choices of foods i must eat over just junk. Its crazy, just last night i had 1 of those im hungry attacks and nothing was satisfing me at all. Wife got mad at me cause she saw what i had to eat after she went to bed. She yelled at me and said you lost 30 pounds and what do you want it back. LOL

There's a couple of threads on gastric sleeve so check them out for some info. They are a couple of years old, but the basics shouldn't have changed.

RNY is a big step; a life changing one. I would suggest you see what your doctor sets as all options and listen to his advice. Everyone here can give you their opinion, but I think you and your doctor would know best. Good luck with whatever you decide to do. Keep us posted!!
