My doctor uses a size 46. I was hoping for a few sizes smaller. Does it make that big of a difference? I am due to have sleeve surgery in June.

I had the sleeve on March 10. My surgeon used a 34. Research has shown that the smaller size has a smaller chance of weight regain. When doctors were still using the larger size, weight regain was noted at 2 years out. Ask your surgeon why he chooses to use that size and not a smaller one. If you are male, they may use a larger one but most use between a 32-36.
