Exclamation Bariatric surgery italy vs u.s.a

Hello
My name is Alberto and I am writing from Italy, I'm new in this forum.
My mother was made six months ago.

Today I was searching for information on a forum.
I realized that the United States, bariatric surgery, and all pay!
We in Italy, surgery (gastric bypass, gastric banding, sleeve) but also after plastic surgery, are all paid by the national health service.
But because you have these interventions are all paid?
There seems something unfair?
Who has money like it?
Hellooo Sorry for my bad English

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

Welcome to the board, thank you for joining us.

Do you mean your mother had bariatric surgery and you are looking for information for her?

The medical insurance in the US is a bit different from those in European countries. The insurances in the US are basically private insurances--the contract is between the insurance company and the employers or the individuals in certain cases. The benefits of the insurance can be tailored to meet the needs of the employers, so it may or may not include weight loss surgery. The whole concept might be easier to understand if you think of a life insurance type of system. Most people do have surgery through the insurance of their work place, or through Medicare and Medicaid (government sponsored insurance for the elderly and disabled or meet certain financial criteria), so not that many are completely self pay.
In all honesty, I think it's not easy for the Americans to understand government sponsored medical insurance that you are familiar with, no more than it isn't easy for you to understand the American system. Each has its own merits and demerits, and so, it's up to the citizens of the respective countries to choose what kind of system they want.

Incidentally, you should avoid putting links into your first several posts, because if you do, your posts will be moderated, and a moderator or an administrator will have to approve your posts first before they become public. Hello
Thanks for letting me said ...
No I do not want any spam. I'm not a spammer.
My mother has done work here in Italy, six months ago. I just wanted to say that here in our bariatric surgery, and free for those who do not have the assicurazion .....
Instead I heard the United States, who has no insurance, and forced to go to Mexico to pay less.
We in Italy, is not so. Even plastic surgery post intervention and free.
Thanks for the reply, sorry for my bad italiana.
