I was just thinking about this over a bypass. I really like to eat, and I know something bad would happen if get a bypass and eat in a bad manner.

| Make no mistake, liposuction is NOT weight loss surgery nor does it compare!!
Liposuction--I assume that is what you are talking about--it NOT weight loss surgery, it is a totally different surgery, and is classified into plastic surgery, and plastic surgeons are the people who do them.
Liposuction is cosmetic surgery, and merely takes out some of the fat cells, not all, and it's very difficult and risky to take out 40-50-60-lbs of fatty tissue out of your body this way.
Do not mistake this for a way to lose weight and keep it off, because it isn't. There is no way liposuction will take off the kind of excess fat you need to get off to get out of the obese range.

There is no simple way around losing enough weight, with or without surgery.
While you are losing weight, the equation has to be, less input than output, and once you are at the weight you desire to stay at, the input equals the output. The moment input becomes more than output, weight gain starts.
There is no magic wand, no magic medicine, no magic exercise, no magic surgery that allows you to eat more than your body needs to function, and still not gain weight.
You aren't going to lose any weight unless you cut down your eating to
1) The amount of nutrition you need in the balance you need for daily living that does not add any excess weight to your body
2) meaning, if you enjoy eating, then exercise enough to counteract the amount you eat--professional atheletes may eat up to 5000-6000 kcals a day because they work out and exercise and everything is strenuos. I read once that synchronized swimming champions eat around 5000 kcals a day because the spend 6-8 hours in the pool, doing strenuous swimming. That's how much exercise you need to do to stay fit at that amount of intake. Are you willing to put in that much effort? Also, many fit professional athletes start gaining weight the moment they retire because they continue eating the same way with less activity, so, of course, the extras are going to pile on to their bodies.
One way or another, whether by will or by surgery, you just have to reduce the amount you eat, change the kinds of foods to those that are good for your physical health, and exercise to keep all your body functions tip top, in order to lose weight and to maintain it at where you desire.
The first step you need to take is to take a good look at your relationship with food, and control your addiction, for food is an addiction if you live to eat and are not eating so you must fuel your body to live.

Sounds like you're asking for something for nothing. There's no easy way when you're obese to get unobese. Looking at your stats, though, you would barely qualify for WLS at your present BMI unless you had some really good co-morbidities, and it appears that you really don't want to lose much weight at all, as your goal BMI is still in the obese range.
Have you tried Weight Watchers? Lots of folks here have said good things about their program. Of course, it's going to involve lots of hard work and self-discipline to make it work, but every weight loss method known to man (that works, that is!!) requires hard work and self-discipline.
Do what you always did, get what you always got. Approach weight loss like it's a temporary diet, and you'll get temporary results. Do it like it's a lifestyle transformation and you have a fighting chance of making it work (but there are no guarantees even then!!)
Sounds like you need to figure where your mind is on this journey. If you can't commit whole-heartedly, mind and soul, then this is not where you belong. WLS is only for those who have focused their whole being on achieving and living this dream. I don't see that in your posts.
You're still looking for the easy way, and brother, it ain't here!!

I think the one above is the 2nd link for a diet aid I've seen tonight...is this a commercial?
To the Perfesser & Doc...well said!
Joey...best of luck on your decision. The RNY, or sleeve are life changing surgeries...meaning committed to CHANGE FOR LIFE the way we eat, our relationship with food, etc.
Eat to live, not live to eat. That is what got me into the shape I was in....best of luck on your path, whatever you choose.
