Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | this lady that i work with who is a health nut said she was watching a show the other day and said that with taking a multivitamin it is best to cut it in half and take half in the morning and half at night due to some of it gets wasted in your system since your body does not use all of it and some gets wasted when you take it all at once, ok am i even making sense, seems harder to explain than when she did...lol

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | Depending on the composition of the vitamin, that may be true. If there is a high degree of specific items within that brand, splitting may be needed. Caution is needed to read label to see if supplemental facts stated are one tablet or more. One example would be if there is a high amount of calcium, say over 800mg. Human body cannot process that amount at one time, so some of it is eliminated from the body. B vitamins can be the same way. I use a liquid vitamin that has a high amount of B vitamins, and I have other bariatric patients ask about it. Since this is a liquid, you can take a partial dose easily, and then take the other remaining daily portion a few hours later. Dave

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | It all depends on the brand you use. Some do taste awful, but the ones I take taste like an OJ punch. I've given samples to others at my bariatric support groups, and everyone agrees that this brand tastes good. The ones I use are available only by ordering online, and details are at Bariatric Liquid Vitamins and Minerals . No calories or sugars either. I don't really know how some people can stand the taste of crushed vitamins. DAVE
