Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | As long as your surgeon has cleared you for all foods..... I know you wont be able to eat but half. PROLY can make 2 meals our of it. IT was yummy and soft. AND for me in my daycare I dont have a stove so makeing eggs is hard. I am just pleased it filled me being most foods in the am i had been doing doing. so this will help me and i stayed fuller and satisfied longer which i need now

| I just went ot see my surgeon and slowly but surely I am starting to try things like whole wheat crackers and very, very litlle bits of whole wheat bread, but not very often. I have been staying away from eggs., kinda get to me,,,yuck!! might want to give them a try again by themselves before i get into more things. It is kind of fun though...trying new things all over again. Have a great day...... ROBBIN

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | YES ROBBIN it is fun trying the new foods one by one! AND do keep in mind what doesnt sit well one day does another. AND VICE VERSA!!! YOUR doing fabulous! keep it up...sometimes crackers (whole grain) do go down better and stay then actual breads at your early stage but you sound like your doing fabulous.

Height: | Robbin I used to love eggs before surgery and ever since can't stand them. I think it is weird and really blows since they are a convenient source of protein for us to have, but I echo your sentiments about them right now. I have had the South Beach diet Pizza's before. I once found them at the dollar store for two for a buck when I was still on the South Beach diet last summer. They are pretty good too. I haven't done the breakfast wraps though. I think the whole egg thing would probably not work...at least not yet. I am giving it more time before I try them again. As of last Tuesday...they were still not my fave thing in the world. Janae |

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | It is to funny how our tastes change post op. As if we had brain surgery. I was never big on eggs till after surgery. I didnt start having the south beach lunch wraps till i was out a bit and i do love the lunch varieties. I do only eat one not both.

| I acctually tried a hard boiled egg today and ate very slowly. It took me about 20 minutes to eat one silly egg, but you know it didn't bother me,,this time,,. Soooo maybe I can every now and then get one in. It has been a few weeks since my last try. I went to a wedding shower today and the only thing there I could have other then some fruit were some cheese pieces and some Humas on bagel chips slices. A beautiful homemade walnut cake with a walnut/coconut icing....looked very yummy, buttttttttt................the girl handing it out shoved one under my nose and I said "No Thankyou.", I thought she was going to cry...I had to say I was not allowed sweets....and I hope it helped her feel better. The humas was homemade, and very good. I have tried the store bought and yuck..... I will have to get this recipe for those of you that might like this sort of thing. I was truly surprised how good it really was. She also made a vegie-cream cheese spread on white bread w/ lettuce. It looked good but I was afraid of the bread. (onion, carrots, green pepper ground up in food processor w/ 1 block of cream cheese) Oh well, My real first test on how to eat at these sort of things. Only 2 people there knew about my surgery., and they were not telling!!!! (hehe) Geeez sorry for going on here...so that was my day..... LOL ROBBIN

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | RObbin Im glad to hear you were able to eat the hard boiled egg. IN time more foods will sit better just have to retry..... GLAD you made do at the shower too. I have people pushing me desserts at affiars and what got me was they had the surgery to and were putting all the desserts in...go figure. I have trouble, however, with affair food because i guess its made in advance slightly and then does me pouch evil cause its more like a leftover and they dont sit with me. GO figure.... Keep up the great eating healthy choices...
