| Sounds good to me watch for sugar alcohols - they can be wicked~~~ I just have to watch the sugars, but this sounds good and, to me, they're awesome when you're really craving a candy bar or something really sweet. Not to mention, they're a lifesaver to keep in your purse for when you're out and about and can't find food you want/need. Last of all, are you allowed to eat these yet? Some docs let you eat things sooner than others. Good luck~

That bar sounds good to me and like clancycamper said, watch out for the suga alachols. I also use them when I am in a pinch or on the road. I have one in my purse at all times and we have a box on each pickup, just in case. I ate one when we went visiting a month ago and she had nothing that I could eat so I got my protein bar out and ate that for lunch while the others had cake and ice cream.

I like the South Beach ones. Haven't tried these. A little high in calories however.

200 kcals per bar sounds a bit too high...17g protein=68 kcals, 3g net carb=12 kcals, so where does the other 120kcals come from?????

I have found that most bars are geared toward body builders and are loaded in calories...it's really hard to find one low in calories, plus low in sugar/fat etc...these just REALLY are not built for us....I do like the south beach bars on occasion and I found one in the PURE PROTEIN line that's OK....but listen to everyone about the sugar alcohols....they usually even say on the package that they can cause gastric distress....this stuff is going straight into your intestines, so with us, it's INTENSIFIED!!!

Atkins counts their net carbs by only counting the ones that affect your blood sugars. So they subtract the fiber and the sugar alcohols and that is how they arrive at the net carbs.
