I found another chewable vitaimin that dosent taste nasty like the ones from the hospital...They are OPTISOURCE for Post bariatric surgery , Walgreens has them , they taste kinda like tang and you cant taste the foul vitamins in them...also they even have the amount of iron in them so you most likely wont need extra iron..have a great day ...

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

Hi, Tagrget back in the pharmacy has them and they were cheaper than Walgreens, but awhile back they were $22.00 now $27.00 a little to steap for me.

Mmmmmmm.....I don't know about the Flintstones chewable anymore. The nut said that post op they were ok but after I started having vitamin deficiency problems, my surgeon said get on something else and is now advising all his patients to use B.A. or something else. I have a Vitamin D and Vitamin A deficiency now and have to take 50,000 IUI of D, 2 times a week for the next few months and an A vitamin. I was reading the back of the bottle and really, those vitamins are really not enough even though it says adults can take them because they were designed for children and not people who may have issues of not getting enough nutrients thru food, like us. They are not gonna have a huge dose of anything because it is for little bodies. lol! I think once you get further out post op, its better to find an adult vitamin vs. Flintstones. I know some people still take them or love them but after my vitamin issues, I don't trust using them anymore. I just started taking Bariatric Advantage and I love them! And because I am low income, I get them for free, so that makes it even better for me. When I have my labs done again, I hope to see much improvement because this months was bad.

Thanks! I use Bariatric Fusion Vitamins, but I hate them so much I have to crush them and drink them in a milk drink or protein shake morning and night. It would be much better if I could just chew them. I'll pick some up and compare the nutrients.

Any other suggestions?

Thanks!
Kath

I use GBG's 10-In-One liquid multivitamin and have had zero issues. Their company has an option where you can sell the vitamin and take it too. I don't do any of the selling part of it, only take it myself. My kids take it too and so does my hubby. It has an orange tang taste to it. You can find it at www.shopgbg.com.

Thanks for the suggestion! I'm finishing off my bottle of Flintstones soon and was just starting to look into other options.
