Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

You are pretty early out from your operation at this point to worry about it as you are limited in what you can eat still.

I kept various snack items with me that were fairly high in protein such as beef jerky and some nuts that were lower in fat but higher in protein.

I read low in proteins at one point as well and increased my meat intake and was 100% normal by the next doctor visit.

Good luck!

I buy the New Whey protein liquid tubes at Meijers, they have them at all GNC stores, and I think Kroger has them also and so does Wal-Marts.

They are with the vitamins and weight loss supplements/protein drink mixes. Put it in a little V-8 Fusion and it has 42 grams of protein go juice.

It is real handy to carry around but I like it when it is COLD in juice.

My Surgeon swears by it and carries it in his office for sale.

GOOD LUCK>

Just to let you know you're body can only absorb 35g of protein at one time anything extra is a waste. That being said, greek yogurt is awesome and has about 18g of protein, slimfast low carb protein drinks have 20g and cottage cheese has about 12g

It will get easier for you pretty soon as you get into more solid real food. I enjoy chilli, shrimp, nuts, eggs agree with me too, deli sliced meats, I love strawberries and canned fruits, and just about anything the family is eating. I eat the protein first and then the veg. i get almost 100 grams of protein every day without protein drinks and bars unless I don't have time to prepare something.

Get creative and enjoy

I struggLe with the protein as well. I keep trying to increase it but I get a sickly feeling every time I eat protein that is in meat form. I eat the Greek yogurt and cheese and chicken as my best bets.

Well I'm here to throw my two cents in.... like I really have them to spare

I was told that I shouldn't be using this as my base source of protein as I'm 13 months out of surgery but I love putting the vanilla flavor Body Fortress brand of protein powder from Walmart into a 16 oz cup of decaf coffee. I also add sugar free french vanilla creamer and some sweetener ...to tell the truth... I don't like the coffee nearly as much w/o the protein in it... makes it richer some how.

I'm 9 months out, and I struggle with protein as well. Chilli, chicken, ground turkey, and peanuts are my mainstays

I'm over 8 1/2 months out and still continue to struggle with protein. Cottage cheese has been my life savor. For more flavor I usually add sugar-free canned peaches to it. I also buy the baby babel cheeses to snack on. And I usually drink 1 slimfast shake a day. I don't dare drink more of them due to the sugar content unless I see that I am really low on my sugar that day (I keep track of sugar intake too).
