Default Symptoms of Vitamin Deficiency?

I'm experiencing fatigue (especially around that time of the month) and red tingly fingers. I try to take my bariatric vitamins every day, but I don't always remember. Are these signs of deficiency?

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

Could possibly be a sign of a B-1 deficiency. I had one and found through my surgeons regular blood tests so I take a tablet once a day.
Vitamin B1 and its deficiency leading Depression Vitamin B1 is essential for nerve stimulation and for metabolism of carbohydrates to give brain energy as well as body energy. Deficiency symptoms include mood disorders, anxiety, insomnia, restlessness, night terror etc.

You need to continue in your follow up appts with your surgeon and make sure they do complete panels that include mineral and vitamin levels AND thiamine (that is a separate test) Thats very very important to have your doctor do for you.

Good luck!

I have had a B-1 deficiency and my hands/feet were falling asleep way too often. I also had a really hard time concentrating. B-1 helps to convert blood sugar into energy (which can explain why you'd feel tired). It also is important to keep your nerve endings in good shape, so being low in B-1 would explain tingling in the extremities and diminished brain power.

Definitely let your dr. know about your symptoms. Blood work should cooberate it. Personally, I've done two rounds of self-administered shots and am finally 'over' the deficiency but will have to take the supplemental B-1 pill everyday. I've been doing really bad about remembering my daily vitamins, though. (

You need a good follow up with a COMPLETE panel of EVERYTHING. Vitamins plus minerals as well. IF it's a deficiency that's causing your issues, the most likely culprit are vitamins, but you need to keep in mind that minerals needed in the most minute amount, like copper, can cause neural (nerves) symptoms, too. Anemia can cause such issues, too.
Also, even if you are taking the recommended amount of vitamins, it's still possible to develop deficiencies because everyone absorbs differently.
