Default info on Protein...

Hello everyone, this is for all you "newbies" who are doing the pre-surgery liquid diet or the new post-surgery people (like myself) who are looking for new ways to get that protein in...or maybe you are a "veteran" w/ WLS, and just want something different, so whatever your case is, I found this while searching on google. I hope it helps !!!

Protein Bullet - 42 Grams of Perfect Protein :: Most advanced high protein drink ever produced for the Lap Band, Bariatric, and Gastric Bypass lifestyle.

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

I don't really care for the bullets, but I wanted to remind you that your body can only absorb about 30-35 grams of protein at one time, so anything more is just being wasted. You can use the bullets but just make sure you drink half one time and half later in the day that way you aren't just throwing away protein grams.

I do not use protein supplements any more, I get all of my protein in food now. However, when I was on all liquid, it seems like I would not have had to push myself as hard if I was getting all of my protein in 2 - 2oz drinks per day. I HATED having to get all that protein in, but I think that it made me stronger in the long run as far as following my eating was concerned.

When I was about 9 mo out, I was feeling icky at a Walmart, and went to the nutritian aisle and picked up and drank a bullet. It wasn't too nasty...a bit like a jello shot (not that I would know what that is ) and I felt protein-loaded pretty quickly.

My review: shots are a good emergency protein supply. Just don't buy more at one time than you would use before the expiration date.
