Question Drinking & taking supplements

I was watching the applesauce youtube video on why we shouldn't drink after eating and it was a real eye opener. I wasn't drinking for 30 minutes after meals anyway, but that video just hammered home why its so important not to.

Anyhow...that video got me thinking about drinking liquids after I take my chewable supplements ie...mulitvitamins, calcium, iron, omega 3s. I wonder how long I should wait to drink until after I've taken those? Does anybody know?

Also my prescriptions. I swallow those with water. Does that mean that they are washing right out of my stomach? Where do they dissolve? In my stomach or in my intestines?

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

Most medications are so made to dissolve in the stomach and be absorbed from the intestines. You have to be careful about prescription medications if they are control release or extended release types, because they are meant to dissolve slowly in the stomach. The fact that most medications are meant to be taken 30 minutes after eating, is to help keep them in the stomach.
So, a bypass patient has to
1) consult with their drs about any prescription meds and have the type and dosage adjusted to get the best dose effect for your digestive layout.
2) as far as vitamins and supplements go, choose ones that dissolve easily and are absorbed easily, which is why bariatric vitamins are recommended over OTCs, though they are quite often more expensive. Liquids>sublinguals>oral dissolvants> chewables> regular pills in the order of easy to dissolve/absrob.
