Adrienne - I'm right there with you!! I keep scouring these boards (and other websites) to see what the magic powder might be. I ordered Max Protein (saw at at the world according to Eggface's website) and those shakes are supposed to taste really, really good because a chef designed the flavors. I'll let you know when I get it and try it. I also was told on here that CHIKE nutrition isn't bad and you can order a sample pack from them and only pay the $6.95 shipping. I ordered that last night and will let you know how they are. You are not alone...

We never could find one we liked, so we invented our own!!
The magic powder is the one that your pouch likes and you can tolerate. In that order!!
At three weeks post, your first priority is hydration. If it takes a month more to find a way to get your full amount of protein, as long as you're trying, it's not a problem. But get that liquid in you!!

Thanks for that info about staying hydrated! I am beating myself up over not getting in enough protein but it's soooo hard. It's a daily struggle to even get food in, let alone additional protein, too.

I rarely got all my protien in the first month but I do now. I bought the chocolate body fortress from walmart and add a bit of banana to it I mix up 4 servings at a time and store it in the blender pitcher and just give it a quick whirl before I pour. Leaving it premade in the fridge cuts down on a lot of the foam and makes them easier to drink and less chalky!

I couldn't get all the protein in till I was 7 weeks out. Just keep progressing and trying and you'll be okay. Get the water in for now!

Thanks for the advice. Amy - I never thought about doing the pre-made stuff. So glad to hear that I'm not doing something wrong at 3 weeks out.

I know that sometimes for me getting the water in is the hardest! I feel like I have constant cotton mouth!! And sometimes I find myself taking huge gulps of water - but thankfully I catch myself before I swallow!! Yes Kelly, please let me know what you think of the samples...Thanks!!

It's quite a process getting the body to adjust. Remember you have had your whole "innards" rearranged. Just be patient (I can say that easier than DO it!) Keep trying little bits of things. Some things will work one day and not the next. Work on getting the water and the protein will come little by little.
Things will get better. Hang in there.
