|  Need advice on diet and vitamins
Well, never thought I'd be in this situation and need to ask about this, but I am! Just found out that I am pregnant...this will be my fourth child but first after having the RNY done. So here I am at 33 having another child 9 years after my last one! I am incredibly excited, but nervous and scared about making sure that the baby and I get the needed nutrients and vitamins. I did a lot of research online about it and the What to Expect book DOES have a few paragraphs about gastric bypass in it, yay! I am curious as to who else has become pregnant after RNY and what, if any advice you would pass on about what you did or did not do and what you learned as you went through your pregnancy. I would appreciate any feedback!

Talk to your doctor and dietician. They are the pros and can help you with all of that.
We discussed pregnancy after RNY in support group and many have been very successful!!

Most definately talk with your surgeon and the nutritionist...and congrats! I don't have the plumbing left....but I did have my last one right before my 35th birthday. She was such a joy and it was nice to "enjoy" her. The first two were 18 months apart and I felt like I was constantly running just to take care of needs...not much time to just enjoy the baby. Congrats!!! There are a few here, but haven't seen them around, I guess they are busy with their babies.
As well as your surgeon and nut, make sure your ob is well versed in post WLS pregancy.

Congrats! I was 32 the first time and 37 the 2nd time around. I am sure you will be fine. Both my cousins who had GBs went on the to have 4 babies between the two of them afterward. All happy and healthy.

| Update on pregnancy
Just thought I'd check in since it's been a long time! I am now at 24 weeks pregnant with a baby girl! She's due Dec 4th. I am doing pretty good, only have gained about 17 pounds so far, wish it was less but glad it's not more! Pretty tired a lot, but otherwise doing ok. Going to try to post some ultrasound pics if I can get it to work!
