Default protein shakes help

I can't stand them. No matter what I've mixed with them I still get this horrible aftertaste. I've tried mixing with fruit, milk, water, yogurt and combinations of all the above. Is there anyone who has a recipe for protein shakes that do not have an aftertaste.
Right now I have whey protein but it was the same with egg white protein.

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

They are all going to taste different to everyone personally I love GNC Isalean 25 shakes and can tolerate Slim fast low carb shakes all others are too sweet or taste like garbage.

Hello...I had the surgery in 2009 and I've never really talked to anyone. I have questions and I hope you can answer them

Do you like chocolate? You can't drink it every day....I guess, but this one is like a McDonald's shake.
8 oz chocolate low fat milk..(Over the Moon is one brand)
5 ice cubes
1 scoop vanilla whey
1/2 banana
put it all in the blender.. yum yum lots of protein too.

okay, thank you. I have a vanilla protein shake every morning and I have to start creating different flavors. I find myself getting very depressed. I was searching and found this site. I am so happy that I did, I have never talked to anyone about myself. I had the surgery in 09 and so far I've lost 130. I feel pretty good about myself, but I honey I need to do more exercise ASAP!! Do you have any suggestions?

I like the Jay Robb protein powder. But I am now lactose intolerant. I am not crazy about the soy milk or lactose free milk, but oh well. I have heard people rave about the unjury stuff, so you might try it. I am going to ask my dr. about the low carb slim fast, but I probably can't because of the milk. Dang it

@Dian... do you walk or do some type of cardio everyday? I have a treadmill, I call it the NO EXCUSE mill I would love to do water exercises, but no pool close I also bought Leslie Sansone's "Walk Away the Pounds" DVD's. she makes me sweat and there is real size people on them

Hi Linda,

Before surgery I had no issue with getting the down. Now that my taste preferences have changed, I don't really like them either. To get all my protein needs met, I find different alternatives. You don't HAVE to drink shakes. I often eat the Pure Protein bars and opt for greek yogurt. They both have tons of protein and taste better then the shakes right now.

If you like coffee. Try this. Decaf coffee, scoop protein powder, mike or cream, add ice shake/blend if you can. This tastes just as good as all those frozen drinks from coffee shops. Yum.
