| Newbie |  cost of iron injections???? Hello everyone. I have a question. Does anyone know how much iron intramuscular injections are? And how much interveinious iron is ? I do not have insurance and have very low iron and supplements are not really helping. Thanks dee m  |

| Super Moderator  |  Have you tried any iron pills, not supplements? Iron shots are all intravenous, never intramuscular. They are usually given once or twice a week for a total of 5 -10 shots. The usual pattern of administration is dilute the medication with saline and give slowly over a few minutes. As for the cost, I can't tell you as I'm not in the US, does anyone else know?
