I dunno much on the liquid vitamins i do see them
in walmart by the same makers of my chewable.
I just use the chewable centrums but i am sure
the liquid gets absorbed better. I have no deficiencies
to report so i dont plan to change my supplements anytime
soon unless i found a flavor that was more appealing.
I was impressed with the bariatric multi vitamin sample
watermelon, but that sort of price wasnt in my budget
just now so ordering them will just have to wait for now.
ALL the best

The choice is yours to make, based mostly on what you like, and not like.
The contents of the liquids and pills are no different, as far as I can see with what I have checked out.
The liquids are better absorbed, but then, the pills developed with the specific needs of WLS ppl are probably absorbed just as well.
I do suppose, earlier out from your surgery, liquids will be easier to take, since you may have a hard time swallowing, but later on, when you are able to eat solid foods, pills might be better, as it would be easier for you to take along with you, should you need to.
Hope this info helps.

Ask your surgeon first, but it seems most surgeons in the US put their patients on multivitamins immediately post op, and even before in many cases. The amount of vitamins your body stocks up will last only for a short time, no more than a week for some, several weeks for the longer lasting ones, so generally, if your total food intake is low, you will need to take them. Call your dr's office and ask if it is okay to start taking multivitamins, and if he gives you the go sign, start right away.

I think you should be on a multi vitamin CHUPPYGIRL! I use a chewable variety and actually signed something in the surgeons office promiseing to
take one the rest of my life!
AS for liquid vitamins...well im sure the ones at bariatric advantage are
great fro the weight loss people but any varieties bought else were u might
have to watch.....
I know i bought tylenol liquid for post op when i coudnt quite take pills
right away and found it made me not feel good and was so sweet tasting
i couldnt even stand it.
SO chewable goes down the best.
ALL the best

have anti acid issues i went to calcium citrate in chocolate chews
that are good! SORT of my candy fix! go figure

| I VOTE....Liquid Vitamins.... So Doody... I vote liquid vitamins...I found a great one thru Shacklee...you may have some distributor in Kuwait...I'm going to ask my distributer if she knows of anyone there. It's called Vita Lea....I love it...I take about a Tsp. a day....I have a liquid Calcium Citrate. My Doc has me on a disolvable Previcid as well...but before the surgery I had a bad case of reflux. I definitely agree with Lisa...you should get on a multi-vitamin asap. ____________________________ Lisa.... I was reading about your 'episode' with the liquid Childrens Tylenol...(sugary sweet).... I had a bit of sweating, cramping...queziness...after I took it...so that was the last time!! I did try to crush a Tylenol Arthritus - 650mg pill and take it that way...oooowe! It was not so nice on the mouth end...but seemed to do well for the pain. Now, I'm on no pain killers...and dread if I ever have a headache...and have to do that again!! |

HEY DEB...the liquid tylenol i took was ADULT ...
I didnt use liquid childrens knowing that would be
sugar sweet to make kids like the taste.
AND to my regret the adult was too sweet
and couldnt handle.
NOW i am of course much further out and swallowing
pills are fine....i use the rapid release TYLENOL to ensure
it gets in my system fast with my new plumbing!
