I am having trouble with protein. Everytime I drink a protein drink I get sick to my stomach. I don't know what I should do. Does anyone have any suggestions on what I can drink or eat.

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

i dunno. that early out i wasnt even on protein drinks. i was only on broths and jello i think. but if your doc tells you you have to have it, maybe you should try something without milk in it? i remember right before your surgery you have troubles with the slim fast. there are some protein drink s that are mor elike juice as opposed to shakes. there is one by isopure that comes ready to drink.

The protein mix at GNC is mixable with water.

Default Protein

I have tried many protein shakes, and love Isopure. It is a strawberry cream. I mixed it with water. I did not use a spoon just shook it up.
I drank it before going into my granddaughter's 4th birthday party at a pizza place. About an hour later, I had a small slice of pizza. I think it was because I love pizza.
My surgery is Jan 3rd. I expect I will not be eating pizza after this surgery as it is the bread that will fill me up to quickly.
Good luck trying Isopure. I like the powdered form that is instantized for four reasons. It was icy out. I have a limit as to what I could carry due to an accident years ago. I have more shelf space than fridge space. Oh, and I do not mind the powdered form.
For breakfast, I drink a protein shake. I put in yogurt, frozen raspberries, and today pear, and kiwi. I do not expect to have this luscious smoothie after surgery.
I did lose 2 pounds this weekend! I am down 81 pounds prior to WLS.

I had started my shakes with chocolate soy milk. I've been known to add a little sf coffe creamer to mine too. Plus, you're so early out, nothing really tastes too good. Just try your best to get as much as you can in.

In the very begining my surgeon had me drinking either Carnation instant breakfast drinks, the no surgar added or the slim fast, low carb ones. I also drank water and then he had me eating either pudding or light yogurt. It worked for me. I know that all surgeons are different. Does your surgeon give you any suggestions?
Another thing is that I had to drink my protein drinks really slow. Or I wouldnt feel to good. Keep trying and hang in there.

Are you drinking a dairy based protein? Have you tried the 3oz proteins in the tube, they come in grape, fruit punch and orange. they're made by ids, they're a little on the pricey side, but 3oz and you're done, 42g of protein for the day, it's not as heavy as the shake.
