Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

Welcome to the board, elle2751, thank you for joining us.

What about whey that is making you sick? Are you taking something that has taste? One way to do it, is to get taste-free protein powder, and add it to something like coffee, or make shakes. There are also soy protein products.
Have you taken a look into our eStore? If not, please browse around there, you might find something that will be okay for you.

(((((((HUGS))))))) May your journey go well.

Chuppy, don't panic. Most people do okay with whey protein.

Just wanted to welcome you to the board elle....
Just keep trying till you find a protein shake you like.
THERE are many out there to try!!!
PERHAPS try to request samples till you find ones you like.
I am lazy so the one i use is a READY made. I just have to
stick a straw in and drink up!!!

GOOD LUCK, but also keep in mind that our tastes do change post op
and what you like now you may not post op. I go for completely different
flavors post op then i ever would have pre op!

i was really grossed out yesterday morning. Roo went on Sunday to the drug store to get my protien shake for me and they were out so he bought a different kind. figured i'd try it anyway.....one mouthfull and i almost threw up. i was lucky to find one i liked on my first try. gotta stay with that,, hopeing that after surgery i'll like it as much as i do now.

keep searching, there's so much out there you will find something soon.

Question

Lisa
What kind did you say you used? I have the whey kind also, and its starting to taste nasty to me.

It seams like everything is tasting nasty to me. And if you don’t mind how much is the kind your using as well?

I'm at a point really nothing taste good to me food included, I cant make my self eat much. With the air in my pouch and I cant get it out so when I try to eat my pouch or something hurts, SOOOOOO bad.
I know it will get better but right now it hurts and I’m dealing with that.
