Default Nashville, TN / Dr. Hugh Houston / Center for the Treatment of Obesity

My surgeon is Dr. Hugh Houston in Nashville, Tennessee. He is an HCA physician and there are two other surgeons in the office as well. They are: Douglas Olsen and David Dyer.

This is a Center of Excellence of Bariatric Surgeons and all surgeons do have information listed on the Obesity Help forums as to how many surgeries they have performed, what types, etc.

I love my surgeon. Other than Jesus who saved my soul, Dr. Houston saved my physical body from the physical affects of obesity. I am very grateful to him and his staff.

My hospital was Centennial Medical Center, Nashville which is HCA owned.

Dr. Houston's office number is: 615-342-1231

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

I am pursuing WLS with the same group but will have Dr. Dyer as my surgeon most likely. How was the hospitalization? Who did your tummy tuck?

I live in KY and am going to Vandy with Dr. Williams. My Insurance doesn't pay at Centennial. Vandy is also a Center Of Excellence Of Bariatric Surgeons, which gives me comfort. Hey... waitingintn.....I live in BG...... good luck with your surgery. I think mine will be in a couple months.

Linda

I met Dr. Williams in the course of making my decision. I think he is a wonderful surgeon and you will do great at Vandy. Centennial ended up being the right place for me but I know a few people who went to Vandy and are doing great!!!

Just noticed your post was in 2008! LOL. I guess you're well on your way already. Sorry. Did you know Dr. Richards is leaving Vandy and moving to Alabama? Found that out yesterday. He won't even be doing much surgery, if any. I'm sure he will be missed. He is a great surgeon, so I'm told.

How come your insurance didn't cover Centennial? And did you know that Dr. Husted was pretty close to you? i think he is supposed to be good. I am leaning toward Dr. Houston instead of Dr. Husted just so I can have my surgery quicker and I have to have a COE hospital and Dr. Husted's is not and it will be a long time probably that I will have to wait. Any comments would be apprecaited. Email me at goincrazyinky@yahoo.com if I can't find my way back here. I am new here. Thanks so much, PAT
