My personal experience was wonderful. The nursing staff is specifically trained in WLS care, the unit is private, all private rooms, this is a teaching hospital, but no students are allowed. You must have clearance to enter this unit, so it is quite, no general people walking the halls.

Follow up care is great, appts. are easy to make and they generally run on time. Usually 1 hr total from the time you enter to when you are leaving.

Dr. Genaw did a great job with my surgery, his staff was helpful in getting the process moving and responded to all emails and phone calls.

Hi Courtney! Yes, I'm here in lower southeast michigan. I'm originally from Michigan, but just moved back about a year again from California. We were there for my dh's job.

It was actually warm today and I am hoping spring has finally found us!
