This surgeon is stupendous. Amazed that I can say that since I am only 5days post op but I feel great. He did a laparascopic bypass and I actually feel good. I am tolerating all my liquids no complications---he even kept me in the hospital 2-3 nights extra because I have kids and he wanted me to get rest.

I also know he is brilliant because I work on the floor as a nurse where I had my surgery--- i take care of most of his patients. I think he has an impeccable gift. He gives his personal cellphone number to his patients and is reachable 24/7. Hard to find. His experience and technique----im just glad i had it

Congrats Philly on a successful surgery. I wish you the best with your recovery! Please keep me updated. I will be having my surgery done at Mercy-Fitz also. Dr. Medvetz will be performing my surgery. I am scheduled to have my surgery on Oct.5. I can't wait! Did you have much pain after surgery? How was the liquid diet previous to surgery?
