Default The new me needs some work

Although I've done well on weight loss, I've noted some dizzy spells in the past year. I have had two Holter Monitor tests, and Event Monitor test, an ultasound on my heart, and EKG, and two consults with a cardiologist. I've always had a slow pulse rate, around 52. When I had the Event Monitor done in December, the pulse was 38. On the consult with the cardiologist last Thursday, pulse was 45. The cardiologist said I suffered from what is called brady-tachacardia, where the heart can beat both slow and fast. She told me that when the heart speeds up (for no apparent reason, as I don't jog or go to the gym, but might get upset about something) for a short period, then tried to slow down to a normal rate, a slower than normaly cycle showed on my last Holter Monitor test (10 days ago). Last Thursday she recommended I get a pacemaker. I am having that surgery tomorrow. So I'd recommend that everyone take care of themselves as best possible, and become your own advocate for any health concerns you have. I had faint feelings several times, and actually fainted twice in my home during the past few months. "Knock on wood", I'll be back up and able to post on Wednesday or Thursday. DAVE

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

Sounds like you have what's commonly known as SSS--sick sinus syndrome.
Pacemakers work wonders for it.
(((((HUGS)))) Keeping you in my prayers that your procedure goes off without a hitch.
