Default 3 day protein drink diet

I just read the thread on the 3 day diet and I'll be darned if I can find it again!!! Sheesh!! I have found that hormonal changes really impact my appetite. Since I am currently experiencing my first hormonal surge (TOM) since the miscarriage, I have been very guilty of grazing and poor food choices. This morning I decided to do the 3 days of liuid protein diet. So, hopefully, I'll be able to stick with it and Monday I'll let you know how it went. Thanks to everyone on this site for always being so supportive and inspiring!!

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

The 3 day protein diet is in the graduates forum. This particular forum is for those who have passed at least their first surgiversary, and are basically at their goal weight. Such diets should not be resorted to by those who are under a year out, and nowhere close to their goals. In the early stages, the first thing to do is to stick to YOUR surgeon's program. Stick to the daily amount of protein, and the fluids. These come first. It is hard, yes, but being compliant with your surgeon's instructions is what guarantees success.
Guilt trips won't help you. Just dust your hands off, today is a new day, and start off with protein. Three months out means you should try your best to get your protein from real foods and not fall back on protein shakes as back up. Real protein foods will keep you fuller much longer than protein supplements, and they also provide better and balanced nutrition. Less than a year out, that is what you need most.

Whatever you do at this stage, you should not do anything that deviates from your surgeon's program, unless you have been cleared to do so. This in your best interest, not only weight-loss wise, but your overall health-wise, which actually is the most important thing, even more important than weight loss.

Doc, I had thought about doing this 3 day protein thing starting tomorrow through Monday. Do you think will me only having 30 pounds to go, do I still not need to do it?

You're only 30 lbs from your goal, concentrate on setting up making healthy eating habits-- making the right choices, keeping good balance, exercising moderation, as these are habits that you need to keep for life. Actually, you are now at the stage where you need to work really really hard to establish these new habits, your life style change, to make the complete transition necessary for continued future success.
Please never forget that the surgery is only a tool to provide you the time to make your life style healthy. It is not another diet that you are on, that you will get off once you lose the weight you need to lose. Granted it is difficult, and because of all the yo-yo dieting that you've done in the past, it's very very easy to fall into the mindset of, "I'll do this to straighten things out and I'll be okay." Not. You HAVE to change your mindset from your old diet mind set to the new healthy life style mindset. That is the whole meaning of, "this surgery is a tool and only a tool." In the end, it's your entire life style change that will keep you on track, and the importance of this can't be stressed enough. Trust your surgeon's program, and trust yourself and your body that you can follow it, and that that is all you need to follow. No little *tricks* are needed.

Thanks for your advice, Doc. And, yes, I KNOW in my mind that I can never go back to my old way of eating. I don't want that at all.
