Personality Changes
Has anyone experienced personality changes due to this surgery? My other half told me today that I am a "Cunt" his words, not mine. I know that I have changed some due to not allowing people walk all over me now because before I thought I had to. But he says that I am intolerable now, and I've found that I am no longer in love with him either. How many of you have expereinced this? Or heard of this?

Wow. Does he kiss his mom with a mouth like that??? My DH would be missing a face!
Yeah, there have been issues mentioned in these, and other bariatric surgery boards. some folk, whether the patient or the family member, have dealt with change that was not necessarily expected nor wanted.
There is a family forum for such posts in this group.
Hoping for the best for you.

Even with what little bit I have losed I have noticed that I feel much better, have so much more energy and stand up for myself when ever I need to. I think that all comes from feeling better about our self. More self esteem. Wash your husband mouth out with some good anti bacterial soap.LOL

OOOHHHH - I can't even begin to write what I want to - the police would show up at my door if this site was monitered. Similar to Judijo...but with all my Newark New Jersey up bringing behind me.
I will say this, I can't imagine you went from '0' to 'bitch' all on your own, there had to be issues that you were keeping burried prior, but now are not tolerating.
So unless you've had shock therapy or some kind of mind altering experiment done to you that would totally 'change your personality'.... ...
I would bet it's just him not likeing you not putting up with his crap!

I do know what you are talking about, since the surgery I have found I am unwilling to let my daughter and my husband walk all over me and say so I guess to my husband it sounds like "bitching" and the "you've changed since the surgery what a shame", its not that I find that the both of them take advantage of my having more energy and doing just about everything there is to do in this house. My daughter works part time and sleeps most of the other time if she isn't out running the roads or visiting her friends she knows someone will be here to watch her 2 kids, she moved in with us over a year and half ago because her and her jerk off boyfriend couldn't keep it together and couldn't pay thier bills. I am so tired of the so called 2 adults in this house acting like they can't get up off thier tush to do anything. 2 years ago I went on disability retirement at the V.A med center because of a coronary bypass and then a reopen of the chest because of the breast bone not healing well, I am so ready to get back to nursing, there is only one great point to this is, I get to spend alot of time with my grandkids and they need that stabilizing factor in thier lives. But I am still fed up with all of this..Sorry this is so long but the post got me to thinking, in this similar life of mine......

IF you call it a personality change. You have more energy, better self esteem, so of course, you are not going to suffer any fools. It is who you are who before was hiding behind that thick facade. Too bad they only saw your surface, not the beauty inside.
We have a forum called Family and Loved Ones, so please check that out.
