Just wondering how long it takes to recover from this. spending 2 to 3 days in hospital and taking 7-10 days off work?

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

I would think it would depend on what type of exploritory surgery, how much of you they open up, how long the surgery is and whether they find anything while exploring. Lots of factors involved I'm sure. Good luck ... you've been through a lot.

What you Dr tells you to take off. I would think if its open...... and how long of a scar you have will make the difference. Ask that Dr that is gonna do it. 7-10 days is a normal time to be off for a normal LAP surgery. I mean like gallbladder etc....... not Gastric Bypass. I dunno honey. I would really ask this questions to the physican. All of my open surgerys have left me out 4-6 weeks if i was doing well.

You'll probably need 2-3 weeks at least, more likely 3-4 weeks, but you need to ask your surgeon first.
