Default I'm starting the 5 day pouch test... Join me?

I realized that I was eating the wrong things, at the wrong times, drinking alcohol and stuck. Today I started the five day pouch test (reset). I've done really well... I've had three Carnation Instant Breakfast... No sugar added, mixed with light soy milk. I've had five 24 ounce bottles of Crystal Light. I'm taking all of my supplements and had one Protein Shot 26. Grams... And I feel like I am slowly getting back in control. I feel really good for the first time in months. If anyone wants to join me, I hope to post my status every day. I'll let you all know how it turns out, but I have gained five pounds over the past several months. I'm excited to turn this back around.

Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

Good luck. I did the same thing last week, I didn't really think of it as a reset but a rededication of the rules. I was drinking alcohol too often and not keeping a strict enough schedule of eating the right # of times per day etc. I hadn't gained weight but I was at a major stall. It worked. I lost 6 lbs last week!! I am definitely encouraged to stay on the right track. I'll be looking for your posts to see how you do. Again, Good Luck!!

Thanks Kat... That is so encouraging to me! My family is having dinner, now, but I'm sitting here knowing that I can't eat for two more days. Ah well, it will all be worth it to kick start my motivation and weight loss, once again. I'm in this for the long haul. Thanks again for showing me the light at the end of the tunnel.

...and I changed my goal weight from 150 to 160. My doc is pretty happy with my success to date, and I know I'll need PS... Which will account for at least 10 pounds or do. Does this sound reasonable?

Back track to the index page of this section, and check through, there are a number of threads.
Incidentally, this should be undertaken only by those who are at least a year out, and the weight at goal.

So how did it turn out? I see you did it a couple months ago and no update
I am wanting to do it as well to get back to the rules/basics and reset the pouch.

Hello everyone, I've been gone over a year, but came back because I need to do a pouch reset. Nothing dramatic; I haven't completely fallen off the weight loss wagon, but I have gained some weight and need to get my pouch back in control. Hoping the five day reset will do the trick! I'll be starting it Sunday, wish me luck. I'll report back!
