Question Water, Water, Water!!!

Heh! Sounds a lot like "Marsha, Marsha, Marsha!!" for those of us who remember that!!

Gahhh!!! I had RNY in June of 2005. I hit goal about a year or so post-op. I followed the "plan" to a "T" and maintained for several years and eventually got pregnant with my little miracle girl (who every Doctor in 16 years told me would never happen!!) I gained some serious pregnancy weight.

I completed the 5-Day Pouch Reset Test 2-weeks ago and have dropped 15 pounds. It worked, my pouch is tiny again and I'm not able to eat the amount of food I had been eating.

My biggest problem is WATER!! I just can't seem to get enough water!!! I feel like I drink it ALL the time! I feel full. I pee all the time (or so it seems) but I know I'm not getting enough. 64oz a day just is not happenin'! I've got the dry skin, the sweet sense of taste in my mouth, the chapped lips and yep (sorry TMI) I'm constipated... Gahhh!!!

HELP!!! HOW in the wide world of sports can I get this water in?? It's been years since I had the surgery and I just can't remember what I did before!!

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

I never buy anything but crystal light. I am not sure that I get enough in but make sure it is all that you drink.. Then if you get thirsty all you have is a water based drink available. I really am not the one to tell you this since you have been there and done it, but this has kept me in check.

I used to be absolutely addicted to McDonald's Coca Cola. I had one every day. It was getting worse and worse for me. I CRAVED it.

Now... (at least since Jan 3) since I started the Pouch Reset... I cut all processed sugars and soda pop and caffeine in general. After THAT headache went away... Whew!!! I pretty much stick to crystal light or water with a little squirt of the Mio flavoring (which is natural)

I do drink water... just not enough. That's the struggle.

I'm having the same issue... Can't seem to drink enough fluids. I'm only getting in 5-6 cups a day. Water makes my tummy and throat make noises that I cannot have happen during the day when I'm with clients. (I'm a massage therapist) as soon as I leave work I'm eating high protein or drinking every hour... Still not enough!

I hear you. That is my downfall. Not enough water and not enough exercise..... That is what (I know it is) is keeping me from my goal.................

Ya just gotta plan it. So far today I'm at 66 ounces without violating the 30-30 rule.

Davonne, I'm glad to hear the pouch reset worked for you. I'm worried about the water issue after the surgery too - I always have a cup of water beside me to drink and even though I'm still pre-op, I'm already following the 30/30 rule. I haven't had diet pepsi (my drink of choice) since october, and haven't had carbonation since november (I was sick in nov and had ginger ale)... I drink water, tea, life water or sobe water 0 and occasionally skim milk.... once in a while, I'll have iced decaf coffee.
