Exclamation Two And A Half Years Out And No Energy!

well i saw my surgeon friday night...
after haveing my thrusday appointment cancelled
for an emergency of his.

SO we discussed my blood work and no energy issues.
NOW mind you I knew from the blood work and the visit
with my PCP that i am anemic and lo on the b12.

SO i had gotten a b12 shot a month ago.
Began taken the ferusol iron........
and now finally got to speak to my surgeon.

NOW i love my surgeon and i support his thoughts
and views on all aspects of this journey.
NOW his words were HE DIDNT GIVE ME THIS SURGERY
TO HAVE TO HAVE IRON INFUSIONS the rest of my life
on a montly basis so he wont suggest i see a hemotogist.
We did discuss TOM and yes i have every other month at 21 days
and the last three months have been ALL clots. SO he insists
this is the issue that i shold talk to the gyn get that in control
as its depleting my iron right now and yes we dont absorb it
as well but i shouldnt run lo if my TOM is better. HOWEVER, until
i get into see the GYN and get corrective measures i was put on
REPLIVA....they do have a web site you might want to see about it
if your haveing any iron issues ...Ther-Rx - Repliva 21/7™

SO saturday my PCP gave me 2nd b12 shot. ( i take it daily now too)
and i started the repliva. I did have a major busy weekend and im PMSy
right now but today was the first time in a long time i woke up with
ease to start my day so maybe things are getting better.
SO thats my update!
thanks for all that been asking...
i just had a real busy weekend and
had no time to get online!.
busy IS GOOD...

i ALSO have to add that i ran into EDIE yesterday morning and my is she slmming down nicely. I was getting balloons for a cheerleading party at my house and she was getting a few items at the market as well. We gabbed a few mintues. We are gonna attend a Long Island Post Op (LIPO) support meeting tomorrow together as well and NYGAL will be there!
IM glad my energy is improveing so i can enjoy this night out!

SO thats my update!
and yes im doing the POUCH reset after the turkey holiday.
AND now with my energy levels on the rise
its back to pounding the gym hard!!hugs 2 ALL

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

Go, Lisa! You can do it! It's so neat you actually get to see other members. Hope your treatments go well. I was anemic before my hysterectomy - my Tom was awful - I'd swear I was hemmoraging (sp?). Anyway, maybe some tweaking on the hormones? Best wishes to you - I have a feeling you get more done running low on iron and B12 than I do on a normal day! LOL Have a good one!

Well the good news is that you are getting better after your B-12 shot!!! And it sounds like you're on the road to recovery with your iron issues too. Way to be pro-active in this!!! It just reminds us that "we" have to be in charge.

has your pcp done any hormone panels? the FULL one for everything?

That's been a huge thing for me with the energy. I still get the B-12 shots each 3 weeks and on the hormone panel from the year before my testosterone levels had dropped...THAT is the point when my energy dropped out and my iron levels got low.

It's been an interesting thing to talk to other women who are also on the testosterone gel who had the same thing going on. No energy, low iron and now their blood work looks good and energy is UP.

(lol, along with the boobage!)
