Default Kaye Bailey's Five-Day Pouch Test

Hey everyone, it is very important that we give credit where credit is due. The five-day "pouch reset" that fr1endly2 talks about in the following post was developed by Kaye Bailey, who is an incredible leader in supporting the Weight Loss Surgery community. You can read the full 5 Day Pouch Test here: Surgical Weight Loss 5 Day Pouch Test

Thanks, Kaye, for all that you do. And thanks, fr1endly2, for sharing this resource to help others maintain their goal weight!

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

Thumbs up After thanksgiving: Kaye Bailey 5 day Pouch Test

Okay i loved the results last time i did this plan...but after a week i did cave into some halloween candy here so its time to do it again.
I enjoyed my holiday of thanksgiving but now want to get back on track with my carbs and cravings....so 2day is day one:

okay TODAY is day 1...
Liquid Protein - - - -

lo-carb protein shakes, broth, clear or cream soups, sugar free gelatin and pudding!!!!!!!!!

The first two days are all liquids. YOu can have as many lo carb protein shakes as you like to satisfy hunger or cravings. In addition drink at least six 8 ounce glasses of water. The purpose of all liquids is to break any snacking, grazing or processsed carb habits. In additionm the liquids will work to cleanse your system and prepare you for the following three days.

Try to reduce your caffine intake as well, but do not stop caffine cold turkey or you will feel sick and furstrated potentionally losing the deisre to continue with the pouch reset.

It is very important to drink 64 ounces of water each day to preven dehydration, will help ucrb cravings and will flush your body of toxins.

If you NOTICE symptoms of CARB withdrawal you can eat a small piece of
melon or orange. You can also try a dose of emergen C which should redue headache, dizziness or cramping from carb withdrawal.

GOOD LUCK!!!!!!

Dumb question............how often do you have to do this? It seems like either you or someone is doing this all the time. If it has to be done that often, if is really working? Is this something that you have to do every two weeks, once a month or what? Just curious, I know I am too early out to worry about it and I don't do many carbs anyway.

Lisa,

I am glad you were happy with your results the first time you did this.

I have a few questions for you since you have already gone through it once:

Do you experience weight loss doing the pouch reset? Was it a significant amount...one you were pleased with?

Does the weight stay off when you stop the plan?

I am just curious. I have seen this plan posted in other places, but have not really seen people post about the outcome.

Thanks. S

well many fail and dont do it thru
is what im seeing SHH.
BUT this plan is for people that have lost
there way, getting to many carbs in there
eating and gaining a few lbs.
FOR me i did fabulous on it and the key for me
is it caused me to get fuller faster being i now
feel i can eat far to much...that lasted till
i lost control again and picked at the halloween
candy stareing me in the face here......
so im really useing it so i get full fast again.
I did loose about 6 pounds on it but of course it stayed off
till i messed up my eating with the candy around.
FOR me i have carb issues andd there evil for me.
