WELL THURSDAY I CALLED MY DR'S OFFICE TO SEE IF THEY HEARD ANY THING FROM THE INSURANCE . HAD TO LEAVE MESSAGE BECAUSE THE GIRL WAS NOT IN THE OFFICE. WELL FRIDAY STILL HAVE NOT HEARD FROM HER SO I CALLED THE INSURANCE COMPANY MYSELF . WELL THEY PUT ME ON HOLD A WHILE CAME BACK AND SAID THEY JUST GOT MY PAPER WORK YESTERDAY !  WHAT THE HELL!!!!!! WELL THE GIRL AT THE INSURANCE PLACE KEEP TELLING ME HOW SORRY SHE WAS. SHE WAS REALLY NICE SHE SAID SHE PUT A RUSH ON IT SAID GIVE HER 7-10 DAYS. SO AGAIN I HAVE TO WAIT. NEEDLESS TO SAY THE DR.'S OFFICE HAS NOT RETURNED MY CALL. I AM REALLY FUSTRATED . I SHOULD HAVE CALLED EARLIER. BUT I DIDN'T WANT TO BOTHER ANY ONE. THAT'S WHAT I GET ALWAYS TRYING TO BE THE NICE ONE! SORRY I'M RATTLING ON THANKS 4 LISTENING!!!

I hear ya, there was a big mix up with paperwork for my surgery, the surgeon's office moved to another floor in the same building and my PCP kept sending the work to the old office and it wasnt getting forwarded to the new one. But everything worked out, and it will for you too! Waiting is hard for most anyone, hang in there!

What is it with general physician offices and the lackadaisical way they handle WLS? My drs office did exactly the same thing, and I WORK FOR THE SAME GROUP! They kept blowing me off saying they submitted it. I finally called the "review" department, (the HMO/medical group go-between) who eventually found it on a stack of stuff waiting for clearances that had already been done! I would have had the surgery 2 weeks ago, had they not screwed up on "my" end of the process! GRRRR
At least the ball is rolling now, Brandie. Good luck with the rest of the process.

the fact that the insurance company just received the paperwork might not be the fault of your doctor's office. i have blue cross blue shield fed program and it took them three weeks to get it scanned into the "system"

Well im glad you called the Drs office because evidently you reminded them to send the work. This is a beef with me because I used to work in one myself and eveyone is as important as the other. You may have to stay on them about this honey. Its ok your not gonna be the first to do it or the last. I hope you hear soon.
