Question Small group insurance that covers surgery??

Hello everyone.

I just joined this forum. The funny thing is that I also joined one about 8 or 9 years ago. Okay, not funny really.

This shows that I have wanted to do this since last century!

It just seems like I have never been able to obtain insurance that does not have this as an exclusion.

However... now I have a bit of power!! I work for a small company that currently does not have any insurance. I am starting to gather information on rates with the hopes that I can convince the owner it would be a good thing to have. That means that I will be the administrator of the insurance and I'm hoping to find plans that allow this surgery.

This is where I am asking for help. Does anyone know a small group plan in Mississippi that would cover this? If so, they will be the first that I call!

Thanks so much!

Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

Well not only does it have to do with the company but it also depends on what type of contract your job wants to purchase with that type of ins company. He can go with a company that allows this surgery but the contract he purchase excludes the surgerey or has lots stipulations. SO YOU HAVE TO MAKE SURE OF THAT

i am not sure if Kaiser Permanente is in your area but they offer pretty reasonable rates to small business AND cover the surgery unless there is some sort of exclusion like BOOTS metioned.
