This is an absolutely fantastic idea. I'm so glad someone is thinking of the people out there who could benefit from the surgery but aren't sure how to jump through the hoops to get it done. I work in insurance, and I do understand the ins and outs of self funded vs fully insured, but the patients don't and need to understand how to go about getting the exclusions removed. Personally, I don't think it should ever be excluded, but I do think some centers are better than others. I will tell you though, that insurance is now looking at directing people to the best centers rather than just getting it done "anywhere". Look for more changes to come in the future.

Shannon, it took Leslie and I a while to get things as accurate and READABLE as possible. The trick now is to let people know that it is available. We would love your help in keeping it in mind as you see or hear of folks needing insurance information.

i know we've spoke of it before craig but for anyone interested this is a really resouceful book. It is easy to follow and understand and there are some really cool features like a reflections journal (which i love) and an insurance planning workbook. it has little tips and answers questions that i'm sure everybody has. Personally the section on the psych evaluation helped me alot because for some reason i was very nervous. Knowing what was being looked for really helped calm me and i was able to go into the psych eval pretty calm. Even though the application process is somewhat different for Canadians the qualifications are pretty much the same. i learnt alot from reading it. Alot of hard work went into this book and it shows. thanks

Hey i am one of the lucky ones who got approval quick and easy. But it looks like a great resource for some who have had problems. Nice job Craig!
