Question Medicare

First of all I'm still alittle new here but must say I feel so at home here..I don't post much, but I read them all and they are all so informative to me. Haven't gotten surgery date yet but would like to know if anyone here used Medicare as their Insurance and if so, how long did it take to get approved. I was told its quick and then I was told it would take 6 to 8 wks. I'm really getting excited and if anyone can answer this question it would be greatly appreciated..God Bless...

Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

I used medicare as my insurance and was approved very quickly. I had a delay of three months due to a medical condition but the insurance approval was immediate. The only requirement that the insurance had was that I had to go to a hospital that was a Bariatric Center of Excellence, which is a wonderful requirement. It gave me great faith in my surgeon and the hospital. Good luck with your process, I hope everything goes smoothly for you.
