Hello All. I was curious if anyone here had aflac prior to surgery and if it helped at all? Even for the hospital stay or anything like that?

It might be too late for me to get one now with my surgery only 3 weeks away, but I am one of those "what if" people and looking into an aflac policy that would at least cover hospital stay if I were to stay longer than the 2-3 days my surgeon says. I am a Mom of 3 kids and I make the majority of the $$ in the house...so if I end up out of work longer than expected.....I worry about what will happen to my family.

I have heard that sometimes they don't cover the procedure, sometimes they do (Obesity is pre-existing...no really lol), and sometimes they only pay the daily hospital stay benefit. Just curious to see if anyone out there had it and if it paid off. If you had it what policy did you carry?

Hun I dont know anything about the aflec part, but i would think there would be a few months waiting period maybe even a year...but I do know you can call your insurance company and find out the exacts on what they do and dont pay for, I did that and it sure eased my mind alot...good luck, let us know what ya learn..hugs
