Default About to Freak OUT!

So, I was told over 2 weeks ago that my paperwork had been submitted to my insurance company. In the beginning they advised me that my insurance was really good about getting back with them, usually within 72 hours...I have Humana.

I called Monday to speak with the insurance coordinator and she advised me that she hadn't heard anything yet, and then proceeded to tell me that they actually didn't file the paperwork until the 12th of October

I'm wondering since it has taken so long already if that is a good or bad sign? Has anyone had any experience with this?

I will still be waiting until the end of December for my surgery, but just knowing whether or not my insurance will definitely cover it would put me at ease just a bit and allow me to focus on my pre-op diet more!! Thanks in advance for listening to me vent! Oh, how I love this waiting game !

Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.
